Dear colleagues, dear friends,
on behalf of the organizing committee, let me to invite you to the 9th Central European Burns Congress and the 23rd Annual Conference of the Society of Burns Medicine in Košice which will be held from 21/09/2023 to 22/09/2023 due to the 52nd anniversary of the founding of the Centre of Burns and Reconstructive Surgery at AGEL Hospital Košice-Šaca.
We believe that this year's professional program will primarily provide a place for the presentation of the up-to-date results in the field of burns from Slovak and foreign colleagues and will contribute to the exchange of professional knowledge and experience and will also become an interesting event to make new social contacts.
The main topic of this year for the physicians will be the treatment of thermal injuries with a focus on anti-shock treatment, surgical treatment of burns, electric burns, as well as innovations in the removal of diseased tissue and cultivation of skin cells.
The main topic of the section for the nurses will be the care of pediatric patients with thermal injury and adult patients with extensive burns, importance of the work of nurses in operating theaters and treatment of the patients in a hyperbaric chamber.
After the congress, we are preparing a wine tasting for you in the famous Tokaj region.
